Therapy Intensives in Sandy, Utah
IFS & EMDR therapy intensives
Is weekly therapy just not cutting it anymore?
Do you feel like you run out of time in normal sessions, just as you’re getting to the deep stuff?
You feel stuck, not making the progress you would like in standard 50-minute sessions
These sessions can feel too short, especially when doing trauma or parts work. You might get into something deep by the end of your session, only to wrap up and start again the following week.
You’re ready for deeper healing and change
You know what you’re struggling with, you’ve identified your goals, and want lasting change. Weekly therapy might feel tedious and drawn out, especially when you feel prepared to do deeper work now.

Therapy intensives are a powerful tool for healing:
Intensives are more customizable, and can help you accomplish more in one 3-hour session than a month of weekly therapy.
What is an intensive?
Longer sessions
They are longer therapy sessions that provide more space for deep work
3 Hours+
Instead of weekly 50 minute sessions, you dedicate 3 hours+ for concentrated work
Accelerated Healing
You can work through goals more quickly, because it’s not spread across several weeks or months.
How it works
-
1

-
2

A 3-hour IFS/EMDR therapy session scheduled for 1-3 days in row. It can take place virtually or at my office in Sandy. It will be customized to your goals and nervous system. It also includes a digital workbook.

POST-INTENSIVE FOLLOW-UP
A 90-minute follow-up session focused on debriefing your experience, sharing insights, and reflecting on changes you’ve noticed since your intensive. We’ll also identify next steps for your goals.

You can pay with a debit, credit, or HSA/FSA card.
Since intensives are such a large block of time, they require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve the space in my calendar.
The remaining 50% is due on day 1 of your intensive.
If you have to have to reschedule your intensive, the 50% deposit can go towards your new intensive date.

Many clients feel like they run out of time during 50-minute sessions, which can feel like starting over each week. They want to actually work through something deep, without feeling rushed.
Deep work in therapy is where the most change comes from. It's having new experiences, connections, and processing. It requires more time and space to work through difficult things.
Clients have reported more change in a single intensive, than months of weekly therapy.
-
Therapy Intensives are not covered by insurance. However, if you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance company may reimburse a portion of the intensive.
It’s best to call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to learn the details about your specific plan.
I can provide you with helpful questions to ask your insurance if needed

In standard 50-minute therapy sessions, there are 15+ minutes of checking-in, and 5-10 minutes spent checking-out at the end of a session. This leaves only 25-30 minutes for deep therapeutic work.
Therapy Intensives are different. A 3-hour therapy intensive allows for 2.5 hours of depth work. That’s the equivalent of five 50-minute sessions or more than a month of therapy in a single day.
The more deep work you do, the more quickly you see change. Quicker change means less time in therapy, and less money spent.
