finally go deeper for lasting change
IFS Therapy in Utah
You’ve tried everything to feel better, but nothing is helping.
Maybe you’ve been to therapy before and learned some coping skills, but that hasn’t changed how you feel deep-down. You’re insightful, self-aware, and have learned a lot on your own already. However, you still feel overwhelmed and like you can’t change the reactions you’re having. You’re tired of the inner conflict, feelings of guilt, and belief that you’re “a bad person” if you set boundaries or stand up for yourself.
you might be feeling…
Frustrated that you can’t seem to fix what’s wrong
Disconnected from yourself and other people
Overwhelmed by big emotions, guilt, or anxiety
IFS therapy can help bring clarity to what’s really happening inside.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that goes deeper than talk therapy to facilitate lasting change.
It helps you access the protective and wounded parts of yourself, so you can understand them better and help them heal.

IFS is based on the concept that we all have parts of us that make-up who we are. IFS looks directly at these parts of you, and your whole inner system (the parts that protect you and the parts that feel vulnerable).
In IFS therapy, all these parts can be explored - even the ones you might not like and struggle to deal with.
the critical parts
the anxious and overwhelmed parts
the parts you hide from everyone else
the ones that feel like you're not good enough
even the parts that are skeptical or angry
By getting to know and listening to these parts, it can actually help you feel calmer and less stressed-out. You will be able to connect to yourself in a much deeper way, and make space for things that usually get pushed aside and ignored. When you take time to understand your parts, you'll learn what's needed to heal and move forward.

Together we will identify what patterns, reactions, and emotions you're struggling with. We'll explore inner conflicts you notice, so you feel less overwhelmed and "at war" with yourself.
When you feel comfortable, I'll help you directly connect to the parts of you that are trying to cope with your problems. You'll gain clarity and get to the root of what's going on. I'll also help you tap into more curiosity and self-compassion along the way.
We will address all the fears, concerns, and blocks that you notice during the process.

Instead of working so hard to manage everything, IFS can help you resolve the sources of your wounds and negative beliefs.
You'll learn how to better listen to yourself and your needs, and feel more confident in your capacity.
IFS helps you find more balance, peace, and calm. You'll reduce the inner conflict and chaos, and change how you feel about yourself.
Lasting change from IFS comes from addressing painful experiences, and healing parts of yourself that were impacted by them.
I want you to know that with IFS therapy:
Lasting change is genuinely possible. You don’t have to remain stuck & frustrated with yourself.

IFS therapy is an evidence-based model that includes 'parts-work,' but goes beyond the basis of identifying parts of yourself.
It's not just about finding parts of yourself and learning what they do. It goes deeper to help you feel more seen, heard, validated, and understood. It's designed to help heal hurt parts of you that might have experienced trauma, rejection, or abandonment. It can effectively treat the impact of trauma and reduce symptoms of many diagnoses.
IFS therapists from the IFS institute undergo extensive training to work with traumatic experiences safely. They have experienced the model themselves, and implement techniques to reduce overwhelm and shut-down.
Long story short, it's a bit different than other 'parts-work.'
